We were excited to welcome back Bristol Aggie alum Kaci Leonard (Class of 2020), now a Manager, IPM Specialist, and Production Specialist at Olsen’s Greenhouses! 🌿🐞
Kaci worked hands-on with our sophomore floriculture students, teaching them about beneficial insects and their role in sustainable pest management. Students learned not only how these insects support healthy crop production, but also how to properly release them in our greenhouse.
It’s always inspiring to see our graduates return to share their knowledge and real-world experience—thank you, Kaci, for helping our students grow!

The Arbor Jamboree is an exciting, hands-on tree climbing competition designed to mirror the real-world practices of the arboriculture industry. This event provides students with a unique opportunity to demonstrate the technical skills, safety procedures, and problem-solving abilities they’ve developed through their training.
Modeled after professional arborist competitions, participants engage in a series of challenges that test their climbing techniques, equipment use, and overall efficiency in the tree. From ascending and maneuvering through the canopy to completing simulated work tasks, students showcase both their physical ability and their understanding of industry standards.
Beyond the competition, the Arbor Jamboree highlights the dedication, precision, and professionalism required in tree care careers. It’s a celebration of student growth and a chance for them to apply classroom learning in a dynamic, real-world setting—while building confidence, camaraderie, and pride in their craft. #BAPRIDE #CultivatingExcellence

Today’s visit from Governor Maura Healey was a truly special moment for Bristol Aggie—one that reflected the collective effort and pride of our entire campus community.
Thank you Governor for your support of Agricultural Education and the Bristol Aggie campus!
From start to finish, our students were the highlight of the day. They represented Bristol Aggie with authenticity, confidence, and professionalism—whether speaking with guests, demonstrating hands-on projects, or showcasing the depth of their technical and workforce development skills. In real time, you could see the impact of a specialized agricultural education and the meaningful preparation taking place every day across our campus.
What makes Bristol Aggie unique is the complexity and rigor of our majors. Our students are not only learning foundational skills, but also engaging in advanced, industry-aligned experiences that prepare them for both immediate entry into the workforce and success in post-secondary education. This balance is what positions Bristol Aggie at the center of vocational agricultural education in the Commonwealth.
Throughout the visit, our programs came to life through student-led demonstrations and conversations—each one highlighting the knowledge, responsibility, and leadership our students are developing. Their impact was undeniable.
We are grateful for the support and partnership of Secretary Zrike from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education, the Under Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Alysia Ordway, the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, and our legislative delegation for spending the day with us and investing in the future of agricultural education.
