Students in the Environmental Conservation Department (ECD) work together daily on a variety of wildlife projects. These projects require students to observe and monitor each individual to ensure they are accounted for, healthy, growing properly, and receiving the correct diet and supplement amounts.
Students will soon release some of these animals back into the wild later this spring, while others are part of the Natural History Museum collection on campus, helping students and visitors learn more about local wildlife and conservation efforts.

🐄📊 Real-World Learning at Bristol Aggie
Our Veterinary Science students are using SmaXtec herd monitoring technology to analyze real-time cow health data before heading to the barn. By combining data with hands-on observation, students recently identified a cow coming into heat and confirmed it in the barn—connecting classroom learning directly to real farm management.
Students also saw how the system can flag health concerns days before visible symptoms appear, giving farmers and veterinarians a powerful early-warning tool.
When students compared healthy vs. unhealthy data trends, the reaction said it all: “Whoa!” — a powerful moment showing how technology is shaping the future of animal health and agriculture.
👏 Thank you to Ms. Bosworth, Ms. Clements, Farm Manager Joey Guimond, and our farm team for bringing cutting-edge agricultural technology into the classroom and the barn. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence

In February, Bristol Aggie proudly hosted the SEMAP Conference, welcoming nearly 300 attendees from across the region.
This week at assembly, we recognized the students who presented at the conference and represented our school so well. In appreciation of their hard work, professionalism, and willingness to share their knowledge, each student presenter was awarded a $150 check for their services.
We are incredibly proud of these students for stepping into leadership roles and showcasing the talent, knowledge, and confidence that define the Bristol Aggie community. 👏

Our Livestock and Dairy Management teachers returned from a trip to the Northeast Dairy Innovation Summit Wednesday night! They had the opportunity to network and meet people from all walks of life and different backgrounds, making connections that they'd love to carry over to the school in some form. Through this experience they learned a lot about different industry trends and possible career opportunities for our students.
Words from our staff: "I wanted to thank Bristol Aggie for the opportunity to attend the conference. I’m so glad we were able to meet some of the individuals involved with such a fantastic organization and who provided our school with the funding to innovate. I am so grateful to be a part of a school that wishes to provide staff with opportunities to further our own education, keeping us inspired and helping us make connections with others in our industries. I’m feeling excited and motivated to bring this new knowledge back to my classroom!"
