Seniors in Natural Resource Management worked with Ms. Demelo to change the sand in the filter of one of our tanks. The sand needs to be changed about once a year, especially with herbivorous turtles like the red-bellied cooter, as the greens in their tank creates waste. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #EnvironmentalScience #NaturalResourceManagement #Turtles

Our Veterinary Science and Laboratory Animal Technology students had a practical earlier this week! Every aspect of working in a vet clinic is important, so this practical was centered around scheduling appointments. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #SmallAnimal #VetScience

To prepare for the industry, Arboriculture students take weekly tree ID quizzes! By the end of senior year they will know 105 tree species in English and Latin. Our students learn to identify trees that they see outside in addition to tree samples inside. Our Arbor students take these quizzes year-round regardless of weather. When the trees are missing leaves in winter, students have to rise to the challenge using other characteristics to identify them. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #Arboriculture #Trees

Juniors in Agricultural Mechanics have been working to fix a Farmco feeder for our Animal Science Department. It would cost about $11,500 to buy a new feeder, but our Mechanics students have been able to fix this feeder for around $2,000! Currently, they are working on the sealing and painting process. While this is happening, some of our seniors have been working with Mr. Pion to restore a hay tedder. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #AgMech #Mechanics

Juniors and seniors in our Environmental Conservation Department heard our Vocational Coordinator Ms. Fullen talk about Co-Op opportunities. Co-Op is a great opportunity for our students to get real work experience in their area of interest! #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #EnvironmentalConservation #Co-Op
