Throwback Thursday
It is that harvest time of year when it is delightful to enjoy a locally grown ripe tomato and to look forward to some farm fresh apples!
In these images from 1964, students kept busy with various harvesting activities on our campus. These photos show students tomato pruning, potato bagging, and apple packing.

Just by eating at Chipotle, 25% of your order cost will go to help pay for our trip to the Dominican Republic through EF Tours. Just use the code on the flyer! The fundraiser will run from 4-8 pm on Saturday, September 7th at the Seekonk location.

Hi! I’m Madison Bosse, I graduated from Bristol Aggie in 2023. I was a floriculture major, and I still practice flower design as a side business, but my full time job is in the classroom! I work as a behavior technician, where I work with children on the ASD spectrum to prepare them for public school by teaching them basic reading, writing, mathematics, and science. I also teach them different lifestyle habits, such as brushing their teeth or making new friends! I am enrolled at BCC where I study elementary education, in hopes to become an elementary school teacher (preferably 1st grade). I enjoyed my time at BA and all of the skills I learned, and I still complete design work when I am not in school or at work. I have a small side business called Bosse Blooms, where I make small arrangements & business really picks up around prom season!

“Aggie sparks passion”
At Bristol Aggie, Amanda was a Small Animal Science Major and a student worker in the Animal Science department. She fell in love with the dairy cows and continued to pursue an Associate degree in Dairy Production and Management at SUNY Cobleskill. Graduating in 2017, she moved to Millbrook, NY chasing her dream to work with cows.
For the past 7 years, she has been a herd manager at Uplands Farm working with a Holstein cow herd who are known in the area for their high component milk. While still working on the dairy, in 2021, she obtained her Bachelor degree in Ag Business Management, expanding her knowledge to better run the dairy, as well as her husband’s mobile diesel ag repair business.
Alongside working with dairy cows, she helps educate the local community on the dairy industry by working local events as well as hosting tours for the local FFA chapters, 4-H, and interested high schools.
When not in the barn, Amanda enjoys her second passion, photography, of wildlife to local landscapes!

Hi, I'm Charleigh Doehler, I am a Flori alumni Class of 2024. I'm attending the University of Maine for animal and veterinary science. One day I plan to become a large animal vet! I have my own floral business est 2021 and this year is my first year growing flowers and selling stems! I’ve been busy with event design and little arrangements here and there! But my main focus since graduating is showing livestock and spending all of my free time working cattle. I have a full-time job while maintaining my business and showing livestock while trying to reach my main goal of having my own veterinary practice. This summer I have been to Westport Fair and MA State Dairy Show! With lots more fairs coming up. Not only that but I will be showing cattle at the University of Maine!

Hi everyone! I am Emma Duarte, graduate of the 2019 class of Bristol Aggie. I was a Small Animal Science student and a student worker in both the Large and Small Animal Departments. (This is where I got my love of cows). Following graduation, I attended the State University of New York at Cobleskill in upstate New York where I studied Animal and Dairy Sciences. I graduated in 2023 with my Bachelor's of Technology in Animal Science: Dairy Concentration and my Associates of Applied Science in Agricultural Business. Throughout college, I worked on various dairy farms and completed two internships during my summers. I am currently employed by Dairy One, an analytical company that offers tools and solutions to help farms in many different areas. I am a DHI (Dairy Herd Improvement) field technician. We are also known as "milk testers." I am coming up on my two-year anniversary and I will soon be coming to the farm at Aggie to test the robot!
Besides my full-time job with Dairy One, I like to enjoy my time spent on the dairy farm I live on in Central New York! We milk 120 head in two separate tie-stall barns. Here are some photos!

Hello! I am Mia Oliveira and I graduated from Bristol Aggie in 2022 from Large Animal Science. I am currently a rising junior in the Honors College at UMass Dartmouth as a Marine Biology major, also minoring in Sustainability. On campus, I've had many opportunities working with research professors toward my Honors Capstone "APEX" research project- studying embryonic development of anemone fishes due to environmental changes. Exciting! Currently, I am field interning at SMAST West as part of the Coastal Systems Program, where we sample waterways in the area to address polluting factors. I was awarded the 2024 OUR summer undergraduate research award, which funds my research project "Quantifying Efficacy of a Floating Treatment Wetland in Long Pond, Centerville, MA." I will be publishing and presenting my research at the end of the year!! I've continued to ride horses through college and still compete when I can! In my free time I love to fish, go camping and spend time with friends and family. I've included some photos of my work and horses!

My name is Trevor Clapp, I graduated from Bristol Aggie in 2020 and just graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Animal Science: Dairy Management. I was recently accepted to North Carolina State University where I will be completing a Masters degree in Animal Science researching precision farm technology. Beyond school I have also enjoyed volunteering for NH 4-H, rock climbing, and working at the homeless shelter in my community for the last year and a half. I have been able to travel the world these past 4 years working on a dairy farm during a summer internship in New Zealand, and studying abroad over spring break in Namibia. While a part of the UNH Dairy Club I competed at Dairy Challenge, American Dairy Science Association, and NESA competitions. I owe lots of thanks to Bristol Aggie for preparing me for my future and look forward to the adventures that await.
