Workplace Wednesday! This weeks Workplace Wednesday highlight is Victoria Stefrino! Tori is a Junior co-op student who works at Palmer River Equestrian Center in Rehoboth as a farm hand intern. Her daily tasks include completing routine barn chores and assisting with lessons. She also learns many new skills in the horse industry from other workers that allow her to gain more experience when working with horses. A unique aspect of Tori’s job is teaching children and beginner adult students about life skills in horsemanship! Tori’s favorite part of the job is working with children and watching them progress, she also loves the environment. This internship benefits Tori because the work environment and the children she teaches gives her more experience in her interest of becoming an equine assisted therapist. This Internship gave her the conformation that she wanted to pursue her field of interest. Thank you Palmer River Equestrian Center for providing a unique experience for our co-op students that allow them to gain more experience in the work force! #CultivatingExecellence #BAPride #Horses #Equine #FarmHand

Juniors in Arboriculture are preparing for their 29th Annual Tree Climbing Jamboree! The Arbor Jamboree is based on a pro-climbing competition where 25 Arbor students compete in four events including the work climb, speed climb, knot tying and throw line. These four competitions simulate different types of experiences included in the workforce. Juniors are pruning the trees being used for the event! Seniors in Arboriculture were helping Landscape Contracting and Design students with continuing to rebuild the freestanding stone wall that'll be adjacent to the topiary project. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #Arbor #Jamboree #Topiary

Workplace Wednesday! This week's Workplace Wednesday highlight is Maximus Fullen! Max is a junior co-op student who works at Ryco Excavating in Middleboro. He is a mechanic who works on a multitude of different vehicles such as semi trucks, skid steers, and pickup trucks. His favorite part of the job is having the opportunity to be able to do a variety of work such as working on engines and fabrication. This co-op position benefits Max because he plans on going straight into the workforce as a mechanic/fabricator as soon as he graduates high school. Thank you Ryco Excavating for providing our students with this wonderful opportunity to provide a better understanding of the workforce! #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #Mehcanic #Co-op #Fabrication
