The senior flori students arrived at the Breaker's at the Newport Mansions in Rhode Island. After the tour, they are going to showcase their design talents by decorating 3 mantels for Christmas. Our Environmental Engineering seniors learning about environmental remediation are doing a lab this week! Our students have been talking about various soil pollution problems, and in this lab they will observe how soil amendments such as biochar can help alleviate issues related to droughts and flooding. Today, we celebrated the life of 2016 BA Arbor alumni Dan Bellavance, who passed away in 2023 unexpectedly. We planted a peach tree in his memory. We had a dedication ceremony with his family on site.
