Students in Companion Animal Science are continuing to gain hands-on experience by grooming dogs on campus! Students also had the opportunity to listen to guest speaker Vera Figlock, a Bristol Aggie graduate who is currently employed by the City of Fall River as an Animal Control Officer. Thank you to Vera for speaking to our students about the role of an Animal Control Officer in the community, exposing students to more potential career paths within their program! #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #SmallAnimal #CompanionAnimal #Dogs

Following our January Winter Drive, the Class of 2026 just delivered over 100 winter items to programs that serve the greater Taunton area. This year we partnered with Our DailyJanuary Bread, Samaritan House, and the Old Colony YMCA’s Family Resource Center. So proud of these teens and the work they do to serve our community. #CultivatingExcellence #BAPride

Seniors in Livestock and Dairy Management worked on processing piglets in the barn! This included ear notching, clipping needle teeth, and giving iron injections. Juniors also had the opportunity to move one of our sows from one barn to another. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #Livestock #LargeAnimal #Pigs

Natural Resource Management seniors are spending this quarter in Environmental Engineering! In their Climate Science course, students are looking at tree core samples to determine climate conditions and measure the thickness of each ring. Seeing how their tree has grown over time supports their studies on dendroclimatology, with thicker rings representing wetter years, and thinner rings representing drier years. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #EnvironmentalEngineering #NaturalResourceManagement #Dendroclimatology #Trees

Our mock job fair will be February 27, 2025! Stay tuned for more details. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence

Juniors in Arboriculture are learning about supplemental tree support systems! To enhance their lesson, students had the opportunity to drill in trees like they would need to do to install cables (systems which can help trees survive longer). The Senior class is outside cleaning up some storm damaged trees to help maintain our beautiful campus. Both classes are utilizing the latest innovations in arboricultural tools provided by Milwaukee. #BAPride #CultivatingExcellence #Arboriculture #Trees

The Class of 2026 will once again be running its annual Winter Drive to help those in need during the cold months ahead. We are collecting new or gently used coats, snowsuits, hats, gloves, and scarves. Items will be collected from January 13th to January 24th. Please launder any used items before donating. Look for the collection bins outside of the main office and at the bottom of the CSE staircase and email Mrs. Hopkins (dhopkins@bcahs.com) or Mason Tavares (mtavares26@bcahs.com) with any questions.
